Screw Conveyors

Screw conveyors are used for the movement of powdery, granular and pasty products in dosing systems or simply for horizontal, vertical or inclined transport.

All this can be done using continuous spirals (with 1 or 2 starts) with a constant pitch, obtained from flat steel bars, welded onto the spiral-holder shaft or via pressed steel sectors available with different pitches.

It is also possible to move wet or liquid products using special seals on the heads, a useful measure if there is a need to sanitize the inside of the box and the spiral-holder shaft of the conveyor without compromising the mechanical and electrical parts outside the box itself.

In particular cases in which the product is extruded and the box heats up, it is possible to equip it with a liquid cooling circuit and external insulation.

Depending on the type of product, hourly flow rates and speed, our technical office will decide the most suitable section, pitch and materials to use that are most suitable for the system that the customer needs to create.

Materials and finishes

  • Painted steel (powder coating done in oven at 200°C according to our standards or as per the customer’s requested painting cycle)
  • Galvanized steel (galvanic or hot dip)
  • Stainless steel (AISI-304 or Aisi-316) satin finished (medium grain or scotch-brite for food and pharmaceutical use) and non-satin finished (for industrial use and for high temperatures)

Technical inspection at the company.
